Ricoh GR III

The Ricoh GR III put an end to my long search for a lightweight, compact camera with superior image quality. I could not get used to the Sony RX100 VII, even though it has a zoom lens and many additional features. But when it comes to image quality and ergonomics, it cannot compete with the small Ricoh GR III. Do I miss the lack of a viewfinder. At first I thought it might be a deal-breaker, but I quickly got used to working with the display. So no, I don't miss it. Do I miss the zoom lens? No, not at all, because I love working with good prime lenses. Do I miss the many extra features of the RX? Again, no, I just don't need them. And finally, since I'm not going to use the GR III for video at all, I don't care about those specs. A big advantage of the GR III is that you can use it with just one hand. This gives you a lot more options than if you always had to use two hands. The GR III has a very comfortable grip and always feels secure in your hand.

As you can see, the GR III is amazingly versatile and good for everything from landscape to macro. I never felt limited by the simplicity of this little gem, quite the opposite. It literally invites you to expand your creativity!

For me, the GR III is the near-perfect lightweight compact camera, and I have taken a lot of good photos with it. It's a joy to use! Yes, I'm very happy with it.
